Testing Accommodations

Academic Testing Services administers accommodated testing in partnership with the Disability Resource Office for on-campus and distance education courses.

  • Instructors must review the Service Level Agreement before submitting accommodated testing requests.
  • Instructors and students should review and discuss approved accommodations (such as extended time and reduced-distraction testing spaces) at the start of the semester.
  • Students should request their approved testing accommodations through the DRO Student Portal at the start of the semester to ensure appropriate setup and timing.
  • Paper-based exam files must include any required format accommodations (e.g., enlarged print, screen-reader accessible versions).
  • It is the instructor’s responsibility to enter any user overrides into the appropriate LMS system. For more information on how to implement a user override, please refer to this article.
