Testing Accommodations
Academic Testing Services administers accommodated testing in partnership with the Disability Resource Office for on-campus and distance education courses. The DRO Proctoring Center and Academic Testing Services have moved to a common platform for scheduling exams. This will streamline the process for instructors and students to request resources that meet testing accommodation requirements. Instructors only have to submit exam information form once per class, regardless of the location the student will be testing.
Students are no longer required to submit their accommodation letters to Academic Testing Services. We are collaborating with the DRO to streamline the accommodation process for students, making it more efficient.
- Instructors and students should review and discuss approved accommodations (such as extended time) at the start of the semester. Students must request their approved testing accommodations through the DRO Student Portal at least two business days before scheduling appointments to ensure appropriate setup and timing.Â
- It is the instructor’s responsibility to enter any user overrides into the appropriate LMS system. For more information on how to implement a user override, please refer to this article.
