Appointments
How do I make an appointment if I do not see my course listed?
If your course is not listed on the Appointment Scheduling Page, confirm that proctoring is required for your exams with your instructor. Your instructor must submit the exam information before you may schedule appointments.
If you have testing accommodations, confirm that your accommodations have been processed and are active. If yes, reach out to your instructor to discuss your intention to complete exams at the Test Center. Your instructor must submit the exam information before you may schedule appointments.
How do I schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment?
To schedule or reschedule your exam, be sure to do this 48 hours in advance.
How to Schedule or Reschedule an Appointment:
- Log in to go.ncsu.edu/delta_appointment
- Click “Schedule Appointment, “Change Appointment date or time.”
- When scheduling or rescheduling exam appointments, a calendar with available dates will appear.
- Click the date and time to schedule or reschedule.
- Save changes
- If there are no dates available, it may be the last day for your exam; you should contact your instructor.
If you no longer need your scheduled exam appointment, please be sure to cancel in advance. This allows the seat to be available for another student.
- How to Cancel an Appointment:
- Log in to go.ncsu.edu/takemytest
- Find the exam you wish to cancel
- Click “Cancel this appointment reservation.”
- Click OK
What do I do if I miss or am late to my exam appointment?
If you miss your appointment, you may reschedule your exam for the next available appointment. If there is no available appointment in the remaining exam window, you will need to contact your instructor to make alternate arrangements.If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you will not be permitted to start your exam. You can reschedule your appointment for the next available time or contact your instructor to see what alternatives are available.
What if there are no appointments available during my exam window?
If there are no appointments available during the original exam window, contact your instructor to see what alternatives are available.
Students are encouraged to schedule all exam appointments early in the semester.

Policies & Procedures
Can I still take my exam if I forgot my ID?
In compliance with the SACSCOC Distance and Correspondence Education Policy Statement, ensuring student authentication, students must present photo identification and use a secure login and password to access examination materials.
All test-takers are required to present a valid physical photo ID to take an exam.. Acceptable forms of identification include an NC State student ID or a government-issued ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or military ID. Students in high school can use a high school-issued ID. Digital copies or photos of IDs will not be accepted. If you do not have an NC State University Campus ID, you may visit the Wolfpack One Card office to obtain one.
What items am I allowed to bring with me during my exam?
Students will only be allowed to bring in items permitted by the instructor. All other items including: cellular devices, all watches/FitBits, or any other electronic devices, hats, bags, food/drink, TI-Nspire™ calculators or any other device with similar capabilities such as file storage and internet connectivity, are not permitted in the testing rooms at any time. A violation of this policy, will be labeled an academic integrity violation and reported to your instructor and the Office of Student Conduct.
*Note: Students should bring their device to use two-factor DUO authentication to check in for an exam appointment.
I need to take a make-up exam. What do I do?
Current Semester
If your instructor grants an extension for an exam, your instructor will submit the extension form through DELTA Testing Services. Once your instructor completes the form, you will receive an email that you may schedule your appointment during the extension window.
Past Semester
To complete a make-up exam from a previous semester, your instructor must contact DELTA Testing Services. Students will not be able to schedule their make-up exam from a previous semester, and DELTA Testing Services will notify you via email to get this set up. No previous semester make-up exams will be administered during the final exam period.
Where can I put my book bag and other belongings when I come to take an exam?
Lockers are available to secure your personal belongings. In order to access the lockers, please bring your NC State University student ID. The test center can provide locker access for students who do not have a student ID.

Do I have to come to campus for exams?
Your instructor may require proctored exams for your course. Check your syllabus for details.
DELTA Testing Services coordinates exams on campus at the Test Centers and with off-campus proctors. If you are unable to come to the local Test Center, you may be eligible for an off-campus proctor.

When can I make appointments at DELTA Test Centers?
All appointments must be made 48 hours in advance. It is recommended that you schedule all appointments as early in the semester as possible. We expect that midterms and finals will be extremely busy.
What if I am sick and have an exam scheduled?
If you are sick, we recommend staying home until you have recovered. Here are your options:
- If you are still within your exam window, you can reschedule here- go.ncsu.edu/delta_appointment
- If not, contact your instructor to see what options are available.

Off-Campus
What are the costs for using Meazure Learning/ProctorU
The cost of taking an exam with Meazure Learning/ProctorU varies based on the duration of the exam. Students pay Meazure Learning/ProctorU directly for the proctoring service.
$13.25 (for the first hour)
$7.75 (for each additional hour)
If a student schedules an appointment within 72 hours (Take It Soon), there is an additional $5 charge. If a student schedules an appointment within 24 hours (Take It Now), there is an additional $8 charge. No-shows will require the full appointment cost, and students can handle refund requests via the Meazure Learning/Proctor U student support team.
Can I use Meazure Learning/ProctorU for my online exam?
At the instructor’s discretion, Meazure Learning/ProctorU may be available as a student elective option for off-campus testing. Students should confirm with their instructor that Meazure Learning/ProctorU is allowed before submitting a request.
Meazure Learning/ProctorU is a platform partnered with DELTA Testing Services to help students complete exams online at home with security measures designed to ensure academic integrity.
To request Meazure Learning/Proctor U, students must submit an official request to our office via the Submit Request Form. You can select Meazure Learning/Proctor U as the “proposed proctor” under the “Proctor Details” within the form (listed at the top of the drop-down menu).
DELTA Testing Services will correspond with the student via email when exams can be scheduled or if Meazure Learning/ProctorU is not a viable option for the course.

Why was my proctor rejected?
- Your proctor has been rejected because they do not meet our standards and guidelines. Please refer to our proctoring guidelines provided on our website to ensure the proctor submitted to our office is approved.
- It is also possible that your proctor has met our guidelines, but has expressed that they cannot provide the service adequately. This will also result in your request being rejected.
I do not see my proposed proctor on the submission form. How do I submit their information?
On the Off-Campus request form, click “Proctor Details,” and scroll down to the bottom of the list and choose, other, please specify. Add your proposed proctor details and submit the form.
How long will it take to approve my off-campus request?
The approval process for proctoring requests may take up to three or more business days, depending on how quickly the proposed proctor responds. If your request has not been approved within this timeframe, please contact your proctor and remind them to complete the agreement sent via email from DELTA Testing Services. You can check the status of your off-campus request here.

What materials are allowed?
Materials explicitly permitted by the instructor

Locker Use
All personal and non-permitted items must be placed in a locker.

If you don’t have one, staff can assist you.
Notes & Materials
Any allowed notes, formula sheets, or scrap paper will be collected at the end of the exam.
Make copies beforehand — you will not get them back.

I received testing accommodations. Where can I take my exam?
You can take accommodated exams at any three of the on-campus test centers based on availability. https://testing-services.delta.ncsu.edu/accommodated-testing-for-students/
How can I ensure I receive my testing accommodations with DRO when coming into the test center?
Test Centers are by appointment only. Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Students should confirm all accommodations (extended time, etc.) with their instructor(s) at the beginning of the semester. The DELTA Test Center rooms have been approved by DRO as meeting the Reduced Distraction setting requirements. Every testing station has noise-reducing headphones, music for students to listen to, and earplugs are available. Students are also strongly encouraged to confirm all extended time accommodations in their LMS (Moodle) before each exam. Accommodations will be listed on the appointment page when scheduling. Accommodations will not be listed when you sign in for your appointment but will be listed when you check in at the front desk.

Student Conduct

What happens if there is suspected academic misconduct during my exam at the test center?
All activity in the test rooms is recorded via video and computer screen capture software.
If a student is suspected of violating academic policies during an exam:
- The proctor will intervene to stop the behavior (e.g., removing unauthorized notes, phones, or other materials).
- The student will be allowed to continue the exam.
- At the end of the exam, the student will receive a notecard with information about the next steps.
- A detailed report will be submitted to the course instructor and the Office of Student Conduct.
If a suspected violation is identified after the exam has ended:
- A report will be submitted to the instructor and the Office of Student Conduct.
